Part-Time Programmer for WhatsApp Chatbot

✦Position: Part-Time Programmer (Paid)

✦Project Duration: Feb to April 2025

✦Work Hours: 5–8 hours per week

✦Location: Remote

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled part-time programmer to join our team for a 3-month project focused on developing a WhatsApp chatbot for frontline health workers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in programming and chatbot development using the WhatsApp Business API. It will provide valuable exposure to real-world programming challenges and applications and is ideal for current engineering or programming students looking for internship opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

✦Understand user engagement requirements for the chatbot, including functionalities like delivering video content, case studies, and quizzes.

✦Collaborate with a WhatsApp API integration platform to program the chatbot user interface and backend content.

✦Monitor the usage of the chatbot by users, track engagement metrics, and suggest improvements.

✦Identify and resolve technical issues related to chatbot functionality and performance.

✦Work closely with the project team to align the chatbot’s features with user needs and expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

✦Technical Skills:

✦Basic to intermediate programming experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar languages).

✦Familiarity with APIs, especially WhatsApp Business API.

✦Understanding of database management and backend programming is preferred.

✦Soft Skills:

✦Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

✦Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

✦Additional Skills (Preferred):

✦Prior experience with chatbot development or conversational AI.

✦Understanding of user-centric design principles.

✦Language: Knowledge of Hindi is a plus since the bot will be deployed in Bihar.
